No, it all happens at server level. You can keep your plugin if you like it: there is no conflict.
Scanning runs in the background on the server, one file at a time, when files change. It slows itself down when the server is very busy.
Most often because of several wrong passwords (cPanel, Webmail, email on a phone, FTP). The block is temporary. The unblock page tells you the exact reason and lets you unblock yourself.
Once every 7 days per address. If the block comes back, fix the password saved on your devices or contact our support.
The file is locked: it stays on the server but can no longer run. If it was a false alarm, it is given back automatically. Otherwise our support can help you clean your site.
Files are scanned on our own security server. Only the code of a doubtful file is read by the AI, and any passwords and keys in it are removed first.
Open a ticket from your client area. HT Guard will already have locked the harmful files it found; our team helps you clean the site and change the passwords.
